One of the most popular islands in the Canaries is Lanzarote and whether you are there to visit on holiday or to indulge yourself in its beautiful landscapes and scenery you will not be disappointed.
Making up one of the seven Canary islands, Lanzarote is the most easterly of them all and offers splendid temperatures all year round. Even in January temperatures are in the mid seventies, climbing up to the high nineties in the summer months and the sea temperatures can easily reach 62 degrees in the winter months. For the tourists there is a wide range of restaurants and bars and for those interested in the history of the island the volcano top restaurant and centre at Timanfaya is a must see. Other places of interest include the magnificent Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes, the cultural centre and restaurant at Monumento al Campesino (San Bartolome), the Cactus Garden in Guatiza and the wonderful belvedere at the Mirador del Rio at the very north of the island.

The beach here actually runs for virtually the whole length of the resort and is a popular sunbathing spot for both locals and holidaymakers alike. Playa Blanca is in the south of the island and although was once just a small fishing village now boasts a great selection of both four and five star hotels. Boats from neighbouring islands will also dock in Playa Blanca. In the North of the island is Costa Teguise, a resort developed in the 1970’s and 80’s by an island born artist and architect which also attracts thousands of visitors every
